Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate
Caroline received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has since provided counseling to clients of all ages as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (NC license #P012816). Caroline has experience working in various outpatient mental health settings, including at Duke and the VA. Caroline specializes in counseling for depression, anxiety, trauma, and personality disorders in adolescents and adults. She has extensive experience working with men and couples, as well. Caroline is deeply passionate about mental health and the impact of therapy on well-being.
Caroline views counseling as an opportunity for personal growth and wellness. Her goal is to form a warm and trusting bond between client and counselor to take care of one’s whole self: mind, body, and spirit. Caroline employs a variety of evidence-based methods, including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), tailoring care to clients’ unique needs with the ambition of empowering them towards independence.
Caroline is originally from Texas, but is loving life as a North Carolina transplant. In her free time, Caroline enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, and hiking with her dog, Maggie May.
