Christen began her counseling career in 2014, working with adolescents, adults, children, and families in an Intensive In-Home Setting. Christen also has worked in a community mental health agency, providing Outpatient therapy to adolescents, couples, adults, and families. Christen has counseled clients facing a variety of difficulties such as: depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, infertility, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, eating disorders, self-harm, domestic violence, and family relational problems. She has extensive experience in working with adolescent girls and adult women and the unique issues that women face.
Christen is Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina (license #12383). She received a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2014.
Christen views counseling as a collaborative relationship that explores all areas impacting the client’s overall well-being. Her goal is to empower clients to face their struggles and take intentionally guided steps toward healthy change.
Christen enjoys photography, spending time in coffee shops, and traveling around the U.S. She has been married to her husband, Patrick, since 2016.
