Dr. Brittany Goss is a licensed psychologist. She graduated from East Carolina University (ECU), earning a Ph.D. in Health Psychology with a focus in pediatrics. Dr. Goss also earned an M.A. in School Psychology and an M.S. in Child Development from ECU. She obtained a B.S. in Child Development with a minor in Psychology from Meredith College. Dr. Goss completed her pre-doctoral internship at a state-funded psychiatric hospital in North Carolina wherein she conducted assessments and provided individual and group therapy with adolescents.

 

Dr. Goss has experience working with children of all ages and families in various seasons of life. She enjoys walking alongside children and families as they work to achieve their goals. Dr. Goss has a passion for assisting with parenting and child behavioral concerns in an effort to strengthen the parent-child relationship. Dr. Goss has experience with various presenting concerns such as depression, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, defiance, and poor social skills. Dr. Goss believes in individualized treatment for each client, taking into account the client’s unique profile of strengths and weaknesses. At the root of her approach is a deep commitment to building a strong therapeutic relationship and then utilizing cognitive-behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavioral (DBT), and behavioral (BT) treatment modalities to best serve the client. 

 

Dr. Goss also has experience in psychoeducational and psychodiagnostic assessments for diagnoses such as intellectual disabilities, learning disorders, mood disorders, and behavioral disorders. Dr. Goss conducts evaluations and provides therapy while recognizing the many factors that impact the child and family. 

 

Dr. Goss resides in the triangle with her three dog children. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is an avid reader, enjoys hiking, serving at her church, and taking her dogs to the dog park. Her guilty pleasures are eating sweets and watching Alaskan wilderness shows!
