Kaitlin began her counseling journey in 2018, where she served as a counseling intern at a private practice during her graduate program. During her time at this practice, she served a diverse population of clients from young adults to middle aged adults. Kaitlin primarily operates from Person-Centered, Cognitive-Behavioral theoretical approaches, in that she collaborates with the client to identify feelings and make connections between cognitions and behaviors while focusing on the client’s individual needs. Her scope of practice includes, but is not limited to, the following areas: Depression, Anxiety, Adjustment Disorder/Life Transitions, Self-Esteem, Women’s Issues, Spirituality, Career Counseling, and Relationship Difficulties.

Kaitlin is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in the state of North Carolina (#A16135). She received her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in May 2019. In addition, she is a Certified Career Counselor (#CA-0488655806), Board Certified Life Coach (#284), and a Certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator (a pre-marital/marriage assessment for couples).

As a counselor, Kaitlin believes it is necessary for the counseling relationship to be empathetic, safe, and
non-judgmental. Her goal as a counselor is to empower clients and walk alongside them on their journey
toward growth and positive change. Kaitlin seeks to provide clients with the tools, strategies, and
support to help them bring a sense of purpose in their lives.
