Vernetta began her counseling career in October 2018 but has had numerous years of experience in the field of human services in various capacities that provide case management to individuals and families. Vernetta’s counseling experience includes working with adults, adolescents, and teens in a community mental health agency. She uses a variety of different counseling approaches to help clients from a holistic and client-centered approach. She believes a holistic approach includes psychological, biological, emotional, social, and spiritual dimensions. Vernetta’s scope of practice includes but is not limited to the following areas: Depression, Anxiety, Adjustment Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Spirituality, Career and Education, and Family Relational Problems. 

 

Vernetta is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in the state of North Carolina (license #A14368). She received a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2016.

 

Vernetta is passionate about establishing an empathetic and collaborative relationship with clients. She desires to help clients address challenges that are impeding optimal functioning and to help them develop a strategy to improve their overall well-being in a positive manner. 

 

Vernetta enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching movies, traveling, and singing in her church choir.
