Biblical Counseling
A biblical counselor utilizes biblical theology to help an individual reflect critically about their current struggles in the context of a confidential, and caring environment. Guided by biblical theology, the counselor’s role in providing biblical counseling is to utilize guided questioning, empathic support, problem definition, reflection/reading assignments, encouragement, and prayer to provide wise and faithful counsel to those who are hurting and seeking to implement genuine life change.
