Caitie began her counseling career in January 2019 working with adolescents at a county juvenile court and detention center. She then completed an internship working in a community mental health setting to provide counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, and families. In these settings, she counseled clients who faced a variety of issues, such as: PTSD and other trauma- and stressor-related disorders, anxiety, depression, self-harm, OCD, ADHD, and family relational problems.
Caitie is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in the state of North Carolina (license #A16085). She received a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 2020.
Caitie views counseling as a collaborative relationship in which the client and counselor work together to make holistic change in the client’s life. She desires to empower her clients to address their struggles and take steps toward healthy change.
In her spare time, Caitie enjoys bouldering at her local rock climbing gym and spending time with her husband, dog, family, and friends.
