Sara's counseling experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, & families. She has provided counseling assistance for various issues including depression, anxiety, child behavioral problems, adoption and attachment-related issues, women's issues, trauma & PTSD, parenting skills, pre-marital & marital counseling, and issues related to domestic violence & sexual assault. Sara has expertise in Christian counseling and can incorporate faith to whatever degree you are comfortable.

Sara is a NC-rostered clinician to treat trauma symptoms in children through Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). She has extensive training and experience in teaching effective parenting skills and employs a family systems model. She is also trained in administering Prepare & Enrich, a pre-marital/marriage assessment for couples.

Sara is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families become healthier and happier overall. She will work with you and/or your family to create a counseling plan focused on decreasing symptoms and improving quality of life. Working together, Sara will strive with you toward your achievement of your counseling goals.

Sara and her husband have two young children and are active in their church and community. She enjoys cooking, traveling, reading, and spending time at the beach.
