Ashley began her counseling career in May of 2006 working in a residential setting in Texas. She provided individual, group, and family counseling to adolescents and their families. Since 2010 Ashley has been in a private practice setting working with adults, adolescents, families, and groups.
Ashley is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina (license #17140) and a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in the state of Texas (license #62623). She received her Masters of Art in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2006.
Ashley is committed to helping people grow in their ability to connect with themselves and others. Her work focuses on understanding our stories and how those stories impact our ability to connect, grow, and heal. Ashley uses a trauma-informed approach to counseling and utilizes tools from internal family systems, person-centered therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. She believes that growth occurs when we address the whole person including emotional, physical, social, and spiritual health. Her scope of practice includes, but is not limited to, the following areas: depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, family relational problems, adjustment disorders, parenting, and coping with chronic pain.
Ashley enjoys running, building and refinishing furniture, drinking coffee and talking with family and friends. She has been married to her husband Adam since 2007 and they have two boys.
