Emma Mitchell, MA

Emma began her counseling career in August of 2023 working in private practice seeing children, teens, adults and couples and in an addiction treatment center, working with those addicted to alcohol or lethal substances. Through these experiences, she has been able to see a large range of ages, diagnosis, walks of life and perspectives. She has also been exposed to a variety of theories of practice, as well as how to integrate biblical principles and values into the counseling room. She has a high value of God's word and wants to walk clients through their current struggle at their own pace.

Emma graduated with her undergraduate in psychology from Truett McConnell University in 2021 and graduated with her masters in clinical mental health counseling in 2023. She was a licensed associate professional counseling (LAPC) in the state of Georgia for two years, working towards full lincensure LPC. She has been under supervision for 2.5 years from experienced and godly men and women. Through differences in state law, she is not able to get licensed in North Carolina and is instead working towards a Biblical Counseling certificate through The Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC).

As a counselor Emma is laid back, empathetic and honest. Her goal is to meet each client where they are at and be non judgmental, as every person's circumstance is unique and is deserving to be heard. She takes a holistic approach to counseling as she believes most mental health struggles are interconnected to the spiritual and physical. Although she is a believer and is willing and able to integrate God's word in order to help believers find healing through Him, she is not going to push something that unbelieving clients are uncomfortable with. Again, her goal is to meet everyone where they are.

In her free time Emma loves spending time with her husband and daughter, drinking coffee, watching sitcoms, listening to podcasts and exploring whatever city she is in. She is open to seeing people online and in person.
