Hannah Green
Counseling Intern
Hannah is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Individual Counseling at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Hannah’s passion to serve others began in the context of her local church where she worked to advocate for foster care and adoptive families, refugees, and multiethnic communities. These roles deepened her compassion and strengthened her commitment to create a safe, inclusive space for clients from all backgrounds. Additionally, her desire to counsel others was born out of her own experience with facing significant challenges. She witnessed how counseling played a significant role in her own healing and transformation. Her story has shaped her heart for counseling and fuels a deep empathy for those navigating life’s challenges. Because she has seen the light in the darkness, she desires to be a source of hope and comfort for others through their own seasons of struggle.
Hannah believes in a holistic approach to counseling that addresses emotional, psychological, relational, and spiritual well-being. She integrates a variety of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Family Systems Therapy. She is also glad to include faith and spirituality in the counseling process upon request.
She enjoys working with clients of all ages, with a particular interest in counseling teenage and college-aged women, children, and premarital couples. Her clinical interests include: depression, self-harm, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, family conflict, personal growth, and foster care and adoption. Hannah is a certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator, equipped with the skills to walk alongside couples in building a strong foundation for a healthy marriage.
In her free time, Hannah absolutely loves Friday pizza & movie date nights with her husband, flower gardening, bouquet making, and spending time with friends at aesthetically pleasing coffee shops.
