Michelle is working toward completion of her Master of Science in Counselor Education at East Carolina University, specializing in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies in 2014 and has experience working in family law as well as other administrative settings.
Michelle works with adults in the areas of grief and loss, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, and self-compassion. Michelle approaches counseling from a trauma-informed perspective, utilizing person-centered and internal family systems therapies. She believes in a holistic approach to counseling, considering each individual’s emotional, physical, social, and spiritual health. Michelle believes in the foundational importance of the therapeutic relationship and is passionate about creating safe spaces for individuals to experience trust and safety.
Michelle loves reading, listening to music, and spending time with her family. She has been married to her husband, Byron, since 2015 and they have two sons.
