Michelle Aynes

Michelle is working toward completion of her Master of Science in Counselor Education at East Carolina University, specializing in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Michelle works with adults in the areas of grief, anxiety, depression, PTSD, life balance, and life transitions.

 

Michelle approaches counseling from a trauma-informed perspective, utilizing a combination of person-centered, family systems, and internal family systems therapies. She has also received training to provide safety and attachment focused EMDR.

 

Michelle believes in a holistic approach to counseling, considering each individual’s emotional, physical, social, and spiritual health. She believes in the foundational importance of the therapeutic relationship and seeks to create safe spaces for individuals to experience trust and safety.

 

Michelle enjoys reading, listening to music, practicing yoga, and spending time with family and friends.
