Nicole Wilson

Counseling Intern

Nicole is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Christian Marriage, Family, and IndividualCounseling at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Nicole has a heart for those who suffer with their mental health, and desires to see them find lasting hope and peace. Her approach to counseling is one in which the client is seen holistically, with their mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health all being taken into account in their care plan. Nicole believes that counseling is done best when the client feels safe, genuinely respected, and when both the client and counselor are committed to the counseling process.

In her practice, Nicole uses counseling techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Family Systems Theory. She believes that these techniques are best used when they are personalized for the client’s specific needs and used in conjunction with each other. Nicole is also willing to integrate faith into the counseling process if the client desires.

In her free time, Nicole enjoys baking, being outside, and taking day trips to the beach with her
husband.
