Olivia Acevedo

Counseling Intern

Olivia is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University Online. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a specialization in Christian Counseling and a minor in Marriage and Family Studies from Liberty University Online.

Olivia is passionate about working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and across all stages of life. She volunteered for six years at an equine therapy ranch serving at-risk families and children, an experience that deepened her commitment to creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can be themselves without judgment and find hope and healing. Her desire to serve others is also shaped by her own lived experiences, which continue to inspire her to help others recognize that growth, change, and peace are possible.

Olivia believes that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a foundational approach, recognizing the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. She values a holistic perspective and is open to integrating faith into the counseling process upon client request.

Olivia enjoys working with clients of all ages, backgrounds, and life stages. Her clinical interests include anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, personal growth, and self-image.

She is certified in Psychological First Aid and is a SYMBIS Facilitator.

In her free time, Olivia enjoys baking, painting, horseback riding, exploring local coffee shops, having picnics in the park, and spending time with friends and family.
