Master of Social Work

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Takeyah received her Masters of Social Work from North Carolina State University. She is also a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (LCSWA). She has worked in inpatient and partial hospitalization outpatient settings with adolescents, young adults, and adults in crisis, and experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. 

 

Takeyah enjoys working with adolescents, young adults, and families who are experiencing difficulties related to dealing with life changes, depression, anxiety, self harm, relationship issues, spiritual concerns, behavioral issues, attachment issues, and family conflict. 

 

Takeyah believes in the importance of establishing a report with her clients built on safety, trust, client self determination, and empowerment. Takeyah uses a variety of different counseling approaches to include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing. Each therapeutic approach is designed to challenge, and also guide you to radically accepting and understanding who you are. She is motivated in empowering clients from a holistic approach to fulfilling their physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and social needs. 

 

Takeyah likes to spend time with her family and friends during her spare time. Takeyah enjoys reading, nature, the beach, and watching movies.
