Tamedra is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (license #20224A). She earned her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University. Prior to completing her master’s, Tamedra earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at East Carolina University, and minored in Human Development and Family Science. There, she developed a passion for serving clients and families on their journey to growth and healing. Her current and past educational experiences influence her in working with various populations.

Pulling from a diverse array of career, educational, and life experiences, Tamedra uses a systemic approach to therapy that focuses on not only the individual, but also their interaction patterns with others in their environment. Her experience and clinical interest include working with children, teens, adults, couples, and families; addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, marital/couple and family dynamics, mood disorders, and various other mental health disorders. She tailors her approach to fit the needs of her clients with a blend of treatment modalities such as Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gottman Couples Therapy, and Applied Behavior Analysis.

Tamedra’s goal is to walk alongside her clients and empower them in embracing their strengths, restoring hope, and overcoming challenges. She seeks to know and learn from her clients as she believes they are experts in their experiences. Fair, compassionate, and impartial treatment are of utmost importance in her work, and she hopes to collaborate with them and their families in tailoring her approach to best fit their needs. She aspires to work with them in exploring their experiences and discovering solutions that are sustainable.

In her free time, Tamedra enjoys spending time with her husband and her family, crafting, cooking, riding her motorcycle, and traveling.
