Master of Social Work

Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate

Tiffani earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Clemson University and her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Georgia. She is licensed to practice in the state of North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA).

Her clinical experience encompasses working at multiple university counseling centers. There, she supported students and postdocs of various ages (young adults to those in middle adulthood) through individual therapy, group therapy, crisis intervention, referral coordination, workshops, and outreach events.

She has provided therapeutic support for various concerns such as anxiety, grief, life transitions/adjustment, academic stress, interpersonal (social) and relationship concerns, family relational concerns, racial identity, and trauma. Tiffani utilizes a person-centered and strengths- based approach, empowering clients to recognize their capabilities and move toward beneficial change. Through warmth, encouragement, and compassion, she aims to build a collaborative relationship with clients and create a safe, nonjudgmental space. Tiffani seeks to meet each client's individual needs, believing there is no "one-size-fits-all” approach to treatment. To do
this, she draws techniques from different modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindful self-compassion (MSC), interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), and solution-focused brief therapy
(SFBT). Additionally, Tiffani loves to incorporate art or creativity into sessions upon client interest, and if requested by the client, she can integrate faith and spirituality into therapy as well.

In her free time, Tiffani enjoys spending time with loved ones, listening to music, watching TV/movies, trying different restaurants and coffee shops, and painting or doing anything crafty.
